Aldabra Giant Tortoise
Maklumat
The Aldabra Giant Tortoise is the second largest tortoise in the world, native to the Aldabra Atoll in Seychelles.
These tortoises have an exceptionally long lifespan, with some individuals documented living for over 150 years, and one individual recorded reaching the age of 255 years.
Their shell is part of their skeleton, meaning they cannot leave their shell.
The Aldabra Giant Tortoise is an excellent swimmer, which may be one reason why they are commonly found on islands in the Indian Ocean.
They are not domesticated but are very indifferent to the presence of humans, often showing no fear of people. Some individuals even seem to enjoy attention, such as having their neck or head stroked.
